PIH Issues Guidance on Unit Designation and Accessible Designation Categories in IMS/PIC

Notice PIH 2022-03 announces changes to the unit and accessible designation categories in the Inventory Management System/PIH Information Center. Agencies administering a public housing program are expected to resolve any issues existing for current approvals by March 31, 2022. Read article


HUD Closes RAD Transaction with Housing Authority of the City of Wilson, NC

In the wake of Hurricane Matthew, the Housing Authority of the City of Wilson will relocate 32 assisted housing units out of the flood zone in which they currently exist. The new site will be built conveniently near the downtown area and feature solely energy-efficient units. Read article

PD&R has published updates to its online magazine, The Edge, including a feature on the National League of Cities’ webinar “Eviction Prevention as a Long-Term Strategy for Housing Stability,” as well as a study analyzing the relationship between homelessness and the housing market and discussing strategies in use for addressing unsheltered homelessness.
