21st Century ROAD to Housing Act Becomes Law

The 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act affects multiple HUD programs, with provisions intended to expand affordable housing opportunities, streamline program requirements, and provide additional flexibility for housing agencies. Key changes include an increase in additional public housing units allowed under RAD, reforms to HCV inspections, a new MTW cohort, and an FSS Escrow Expansion Pilot Program. Read more

 

HUD Issues Notice on Cyber Incident Reporting Requirements

Notice PIH 2025-17 instructs PHAs to report cyber incidents by emailing HUD’s Cyber Incident Response Team and local field office no later than 36 hours after becoming aware of the event. Such incidents may include data spillage, unauthorized access, exploited vulnerabilities, or other attacks. Read more

 

HUD Withdraws Multiple Fair Housing Guidance Documents

In a notice in the Federal Register, HUD’s Office of General Counsel withdraws thirteen fair housing guidance documents, with a retroactive effective date of September 25, 2025. Read more
