HUD Publishes Complete HCV Landlord Strategies Guidebook

HUD’s 196-page PDF compiles all chapters and materials previously released, sharing strategies (with a range of cost and complexity) PHAs can use to improve landlord participation in the Housing Choice Voucher Program. Read handbook

 

HUD Publishes New PH Data Dashboard

The new Public Housing Data Dashboard shares information relevant to public housing across the US. The dashboard shows resident characteristics; unit occupancy trends; scores from the Public Housing Assessment program; and information about funding, eligibility, and energy use. Viewers can sort and filter data by region, PHA, and more. See dashboard

 

HUD Issues New Civil Rights Guidance on Marketing and Application Requirements for Subsidized Multifamily Properties 

HUD’s Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity has released marketing guidance and an implementation sheet on compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act in marketing and application processing. Read article

 

HUD Closes RAD Conversion Transaction with Housing Authority of City of Tampa, FL

The Housing Authority of the City of Tampa (THA) will replace 97 public housing units and create an additional 99 affordable homes, for a total of 196 units with energy-efficient features and onsite amenities. The multiphase plan will include 670 RAD units in a mixed-income neighborhood with retail and office space as wells as parks. Read article
