HUD released FY21 Income Limits

Used to determine eligibility for assisted housing programs including public housing, Section 8 project-based rental assistance, Housing Choice Vouchers, and other special-needs housing programs, this query tool allows users to obtain the income limits for their area. Read more

 

HUD’s RAD office issued brief Section 3 guidance for PHAs converting Public Housing under RAD

The two-page document provides guidance on how the new Section 3 regulations apply to RAD conversions of public housing to Project-Based Vouchers (PBVs) or Project-Based Rental Assistance (PBRA). The new final Section 3 rule and how it applies in RAD conversions will be provided by HUD on April 20, 2021. Read more

 

HUD allocated nearly $700 million through Housing Trust Fund for affordable housing

The funds will produce more affordable housing for extremely low- and very low-income households, including families experiencing homelessness. This year’s allocation increased from last year's allocation by around $365 million. Read more

 

HUD awarded more than $36 million to support public housing and Native American residents

The money comes from the Resident Opportunity and Self-Sufficiency (ROSS) grant funds that hire and/or retain Services Coordinators to assist public and Native American housing families to meet their life goals and improve their economic mobility. Read more
