New Public Housing Resources and Training Available
New resources and training are available on the HUD Exchange to support PHAs and their partners in developing and administering their public housing and voucher programs. Recent additions include the Public Housing Resident Organizing and Participation Toolkit in English and Spanish, NSPIRE Online Training, and a guidebook and webinar on strategies for assisting people experiencing homelessness. HUD Allocates More Than $2 Billion to Advance Equitable Disaster Recovery, Build Climate Change Resilience
HUD is allocating more than $2 billion in CDBG-DR and CDBG-MIT funds to 10 states in response to 15 major disasters that occurred in 2020. Funds are to be used for disaster relief, long-term recovery, restoration of infrastructure and housing, economic revitalization, and mitigation, in the most impacted and distressed areas.
