HUD renewed funding for thousands of local homeless programs
On Friday, January 29, HUD awarded $2.5 billion in Continuum of Care (CoC) grants to more than 6,500 community-based housing and service providers. The funding renews grants for existing programs and the process will be dramatically streamlined due to the pandemic. Read more

HUD’s Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity (FHEO) issued a memorandum that will implement the policy set forth in Biden's Executive Order 13988 on Preventing and Combating Discrimination on the Basis of Gender Identity or Sexual Orientation. Read more

People experiencing homelessness in Jacksonville's Downtown area will be offered hotel rooms
Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry announced a new initiative called Pathway to Home. The program will temporarily house those experiencing homelessness in hotel rooms, then transition them to permanent homes using Rapid Rehousing. Read more
