HUD has released the third and final proposed assessment tool under the affirmatively furthering fair housing (AFFH) final rule. The third version of the tool is intended for use by PHAs that do not plan to collaborate with other agencies in their assessments. It was published in the Federal Register on March 23, with comments due by May 23, 2016.
HUD has previously published proposed assessment tools for use by local governments and by states and insular areas. All three of the proposed assessment tools are available here. For more information, see the AFFH resources and training material web page at HUD Exchange.
