Senate reportedly reaches deal to end shutdown
According to a report published this morning by the New York Times, Senate leaders of both parties have reached an agreement that will:
- Reopen the government until January 15
- Raise the debt ceiling until February 7
- Require agreement on a longer term budget by December 13
- Tighten income verifications for insurance premium subsidies under the Affordable Care Act
Votes on the agreement are expected in the House and Senate later today. We’ll let you know if they happen before close of business Pacific time.
