New and Updated VAWA Forms Now Available

HUD has updated its Violence Against Women Act forms to extend the expiration date and revise content. There is also a new VAWA Emergency Transfer Data Collection Form, HUD-5384. Read more

 

NHLP Posts Domestic Violence Newsletter

The National Housing Law Project has posted the latest edition of its domestic violence newsletter series. The Winter Newsletter covers the interagency statement issued by HUD and other departments on VAWA’s housing provisions. Read more

 

HUD Terminates AFFH Rule

HUD has published an interim final rule, titled “Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing Revisions,” that will allow PHAs to self-certify their compliance with the requirements of the Fair Housing Act. Originally introduced in 2015, the AFFH rule was previously terminated in 2020 and restored in 2021. Comments on the interim final rule are due May 2, 2025 . Read more

 

PD&R Case Study: Repurposing a Historic Building into Affordable Housing

HUD’s Office of Policy Development and Research has published a case study on the adaptive reuse of a 19th-century building in Pennsylvania as a 71-unit affordable housing community. Read more
