The US Department of the Treasury updates Emergency Rental Assistance policies, Damon Smith is sworn in as General Counsel of HUD, and HUD announces $2.7 billion in funds for organizations working to support people experiencing homelessness.
HUD Deputy Secretary Adrianne Todman issued the oath of office to General Counsel Smith during a ceremony at HUD headquarters. General Counsel Smith was confirmed by the Senate by unanimous consent on August 11. Read article
In a recent Notice of Funding Opportunity, HUD made $2.656 billion in FY 2021 Continuum of Care Program competitive funding available for supportive services and housing programs for people who are unsheltered. Homeless services organizations across the country will have the opportunity to renew existing projects, apply for new projects, and reallocate resources from lower performing projects.
