This award is presented to developers, organizations, or agencies for their work on historic preservation in affordable housing buildings. The winner, Historic Ashe Hospital, has 46 apartments for low-income senior citizens and people with disabilities. It also houses a library, computer room, and three meeting rooms that are available to the community. Read more
For the past 13 years, CHA distributed new coats to children in Chicago's public housing. CHA implemented changes to this year's pick up system to comply with COVID regulations for the 3,000 families who signed up for the program. Read more
This executive order supports the NC HOPE initiative that started near the beginning of October, which pays landlords and utility companies directly to help families who've been impacted by COVID-19. The executive order requires landlords to make residential tenants aware of their rights under the CDC Order. Read more
