Friday news roundup 4/25/14
On Wednesday HUD posted the notice of funding availability (NOFA) for 2014 Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) service coordinator funding at Grants.gov. As noted in the “get-ready letter” issued earlier this month, funding for the housing choice voucher (HCV) and public housing (PH) FSS programs is combined under the fiscal year (FY) 2014 appropriations act.
Approximately $75 million in service coordinator funding is available for both programs. Applicants will submit one application for funding under either or both programs. The NOFA includes the FSS portion and the general section published in February. The deadline for applications is May 29.
