The 2013 NMA Model ACOP has shipped!
Subscribers to our annual revision service can expect to receive the latest version of the NMA Model Admissions and Continued Occupancy Policy (ACOP) within the next week or so. If you haven't received your updates after that time, please contact Janell Guilbeaux in our accounting department and she'll be happy to assist you.
The issuance of Notices PIH 2013-03 and 2013-04 early this year prompted major changes throughout our model ACOP. Additionally, for the first time since 2005, our regulatory writers and technical experts undertook a complete overhaul of our model policies. Language has been revised throughout to be clearer, current, and more logical. Citations have been completely updated and checked for accuracy.
As usual, the NMA Model ACOP and Guide has also been brought current with all recent HUD requirements and guidance, including:
- Modifications regarding the updated guidance on sex offenders found in Notice PIH 2012-28
- A new PHA policy under “Imputing Income from Assets” as per Notice PIH 2012-29
- A special addendum covering policy options under Notice PIH 2013-03, which expires March 31, 2014
- Extensive changes concerning income exclusions as per Notice PIH 2013-04 and the Federal Register notice published December 14, 2012
NMA revision services provide a yearly update to your NMA Master Books and model policies with explanations and guidance regarding the most current HUD rules and regulations. To stay updated on the latest program information, subscribe to the PIH Alert and Housing Resource Newsletter.
