HUD Announces Relief from Requirements to Assist with Disaster Recovery

In a notice published in the Federal Register on Jan. 5, HUD announced certain waivers and flexibilities available to assist PHAs in their recovery and relief efforts for families affected by presidentially declared disasters. Read article

 

USICH Releases Guidance for Communities on Using American Rescue Plan Act Resources to Address Homelessness

The United States Interagency Council on Homelessness released guidance illustrating how Louisville Metro Government, the Austin and Travis County housing authorities, and Harris County Health System used ARPA resources to address the needs of people who are currently unsheltered or at risk of becoming so. HUD Announces $9 Million Loan Guarantee to Cleveland for Development with Nearly 200 Housing Units, Grocery Store

The City of Cleveland, OH is developing a mixed-use site that includes nearly 200 housing units and a 40,000 square foot grocery store. The $9 million loan guarantee assistance was awarded through the Section 108 Loan Guarantee Program, which lets CDBG recipients access flexible financing for economic development, housing, public facility, and infrastructure projects.
