HUD PIH announced Emergency Housing Voucher allocation amounts

On May 10, HUD’s Office of Public and Indian Housing informed 696 PHAs on how many Emergency Housing Vouchers (EHVs) each is eligible to receive. EHVs are intended to assist individuals or families experiencing homelessness or those at risk of homelessness. They can also be used for those fleeing or attempting to flee domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, or human trafficking. Read more

 

US Department of Treasury updated documents

On May 7, the Treasury posted an ERA Fact Sheet titled, "The Biden-Harris Administration Announces Enhanced Efforts to Prevent Evictions and Provide Emergency Assistance to Renters." The Treasury also updated its ERA FAQs and Grantee Award Terms for ERA 2. Read more

 

HUD awarded $51 million to clean up lead hazards in public housing

On May 11, HUD awarded nearly $51.4 million to 25 PHAs in 19 states. The funds will be used to identify and reduce lead-based paint hazards in thousands of older public housing units currently occupied by families with young children. Read more

CDBG-DR monthly reports now posted

The following monthly reports (as of May 1, 2021), are now posted: 2008 Grants, Targeted for Closeout, CDBG-DR Affordable Rental Housing Expenditures, Disaster Recovery Enhancement Fund Expenditures, and CDBG-DR Grant Expenditure Report.
